So Pinboard comes with a fee, a one-time amount that depends on the number of users (it's currently $9.44), and not everyone in fandom has the luxury of spending money on fic bookmarking. I'd like to use this community to connect people who want Pinboard accounts but can't afford them with people willing to purchase gift accounts in exchange for content such as fic, art, icons, etc. Before I charge on forward with that, I want to get people's input on the idea, since this could be seen as monetizing fandom. Anyone have thoughts on the matter?

I'm thinking if we go ahead with the idea, it will look something like this: we'll make content-categorized entries in this comm (probably one for fic, one for art, and one for other things like podfic and recs lists). People willing to buy accounts can post comments describing the content they're looking for, and people seeking accounts can post comments with the content they're offering. This will be participate-at-your-own-risk; obviously the community can't be responsible for people flaking out.
